This month I’m giving away a signed, limited-edition-hardcover copy of Matt Youngmark’s Conspiracy Friends, Volume 1: Clandestine Maneuvers in the Dark.

Conspiracy Friends is one of my favorite webcomics, about friends who investigate conspiracies together!

In Volume 1 you get to see it all from the beginning, as Tim tries to start a Conspiracy Club, but that doesn’t work out, but he DOES meet Wendigo Penelope, maybe the coolest person ever? I love Tim and Wendigo Penelope SO MUCH. I kind of ship it, honestly, although Wendigo Penelope has said she isn’t interested and I respect that.

All Tim wants is to find friends among like-minded conspiracy enthusiasts. But when Wendigo Penelope shows up at Conspiracy Club, the black helicopters follow, and they soon find themselves on the run from shadowy forces they can’t begin to comprehend. Along with semi-competent CIA operative Steve and beleaguered newspaper intern Marcie, Wendigo and Tim will have to unravel a web of intrigue that leads them deeper and deeper into the belly of the beast (which is a pretty mixed metaphor, but trust us, that’s the least of their problems). CLANDESTINE MANEUVERS IN THE DARK collects the first six chapters of the Conspiracy Friends webcomic, and includes a 5-page bonus story available exclusively in this book.

This month, since Sonali Dev’s sophomore romance The Bollywood Bride is out, I’m giving away a signed copy of her first book, along with a Bride bookmark and two of the bangles Sonali was giving away at RWA this summer (worn below by spokesmodel T-Rex)!

I absolutely adored this book. A fantastic romantic-comedy vibe, deep emotion, and well-done angst combine brilliantly. The Big Mis never got annoying and I cried several times. To no one’s surprise, I especially loved Samir cooking for Mili! I recommend you order takeout BEFORE you start reading, because this book will make you hungry.

Duran’s Lady Be Good (about an ex-thief trying to go straight, who must do one last job for an aristocratic and very angsty veteran) smashed my reading slump into bits at RWA, and I can’t wait to read the next one, about the ice queen manager of the auction house, so I thought this would be a good time to give away a signed-by-the-author copy of book 2 in the series and a 2015 RITA winner, Fool Me Twice!

What is it about “I am pretending to be his housekeeper and out of sheer frustration bring his horrible house into spotless order” stories that I am such a sucker for???? I don’t know but I love it every time. Put-upon competence is my thing, I guess, which is why I love Captain America so much. But seriously, this book is amazing and the romantic tension is some of the best I’ve ever read. Read my full flaily Goodreads review (including a trigger warning).

With summer just around the corner in the Northern Hemisphere, I thought this was a good time to give away a signed copy of a unique historical I just read by Jennifer McQuiston: Summer is for Lovers.

The book (linked to McQuiston’s first book, What Happens in Scotland, but I’m not sure how because I haven’t read that one yet) is set in 1840s Brighton, and the heroine is a swimmer!!!! Jen did an amazing job of giving things a historical feel while still being very relatable—for example, there’s one scene where the popular girl throws a party while her father’s out of town, and everyone plays naughty party games, wrecks the house, and smokes up. I felt like I was reading historical Judy Blume in the best possible way! The swimming is delightful, the romance is hot, Caroline was a wonderful heroine, and I definitely cried at some of the family stuff at the end.
