ETA: This contest is closed. Jen won the book.
This month I’m giving away a signed paperback of Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare, plus swag!
If you haven’t read the first book in the Castles Ever After series, what are you waiting for, seriously? I adore Izzy (who has inherited a castle unexpectedly!) and Ransom (who is NOT DEAD thank you very much, this is HIS castle and he’s not leaving!). Ransom is the only person who sees Izzy as a woman, and not her famous father’s wide-eyed little girl (a trope I always love). Best of all, Izzy’s father wrote serial medieval stories, and there are fans and LARPers and fandom tropes, and it’s awesome.
The back-cover copy:
As the daughter of a famed author, Isolde Ophelia Goodnight grew up on tales of brave knights and fair maidens. She never doubted romance would be in her future, too. The storybooks offered endless possibilities.
And as she grew older, Izzy crossed them off. One by one by one.
Ugly duckling turned swan?
Abducted by handsome highwayman?
Rescued from drudgery by charming prince?
No, no, and… Heh.
Now Izzy’s given up yearning for romance. She’ll settle for a roof over her head. What fairy tales are left over for an impoverished twenty-six year-old woman who’s never even been kissed?
This one.
Pictured: spokesmodel T-Rex (not included) in cosplay as a Moranglian knight, with signed paperback and swag: a Say Yes to the Marquess postcard and two Romancing the Duke pinback buttons, one reading “DOUBT NOT” and one reading “Why must this be so mortifying? Oh, that’s right. Because it’s my life.”
The rules:
1. Comment on this post to enter.
2. The winner will be chosen at random using random.org.
3. US and Canada only.
4. Open for entries through February 26th, 2015.
5. I got this book signed at a conference. Tessa isn’t involved in the giveaway.

Oh goodness. I checked this one out from the library not long ago and it was absolutely adorable. I’d love my own copy.
“Adorable” really is the only word! It was sooooo good.
Your spokesmodel has done a fine job of convincing me that I need this book! Love Tessa Dare!
It’s good to know that T-Rex earned his paycheck on this one! 😉
Sounds like a hoot!
Ooh, I haven’t read this yet but I love Tessa Dare!
This is one of my favorites of hers, although I think Twice Tempted by a Rogue and Lady of Persuasion might still top the list. Good luck in the drawing!
I love this book and would love a signed copy. Great swag too.
I just love her buttons! So cute.
I am always looking for new authors to read. This one sounds like I would enjoy it.
I’m in it for the buttons alone. Not really. The book was so good, too.
I knoooooow! I have the second one in the series on my phone RIGHT NOW, I can’t wait to read it.

What a lovely comment, thank you for telling me! Librarians are the coolest. 🙂
Your review convinced me – that sounds awesome. And I too love the spokesmodel. Is that T-Rex from Dinosaur Comics?! Love. He looks so impressive in his costume.

Hmmm – I haven’t read this Tessa Dare. Sign me up! Thanks for the contest – and a very close relative of the spokesmodel lived at my house for a number of years. 😉
Squishables are wonderful! I have a whole list of ones I’d like to own someday…
Good luck in the drawing. 🙂
Just downloaded this book and looking forward to reading it.
Sounds intriguing! Count me in 🙂
I have been a fan of Tessa’s for awhile now and love her books. I also love T-Rex, he is my all time fav dinosaur.
Me too! T-Rex is an angel. 🙂
Tessa’s books are incredible. I have Say Yes to the Marquess on my phone and am waiting for when I need a surefire pick-me-up…
I still want your alligator. He’s a cutie!!
I have to admit I’ve never read any of Tessa’s books yet(hanging head in shame!)This sounds like a book I would really enjoy reading. And I love T-Rex getting into the spirit of things by dressing up as a knight! LOL!
You are definitely missing out! 🙂 I think this book is a great place to start, although honestly I love all her stuff. Good luck in the drawing!
Oooh, I would love to read this, if only for the fans and LARPers! But of course romance and castles are right up my alley as well. 😀
Right? It’s like, a bunch of great tastes that taste fabulous together.
I love your give-away dinosaur! He’s so cute, especially with that helmet. 🙂
T-Rex says thank you! Respectfully, but with a roguish gleam in his eye. 😉
